What Is a Check Stub?
A check stub, also called a pay stub or earnings statement, lists earnings, taxes, deductions and net pay for a pay period. It records the details of a payment; it is not the payment itself.
Can I Recreate a Lost or Missing Check Stub?
The planned generator will let you prepare a replacement from your original payroll records. Use the employer, employee, pay dates and amounts that match those records. If you’re missing the details, request them from your employer or payroll provider first.
What Information Do I Need?
Have the employer and employee names and addresses, pay-period dates, pay date, gross earnings, recorded tax withholding, deductions and any reimbursements ready. For accurate YTD totals, you’ll also need the payroll history for the year.
Can I Create My Own Check Stub Now?
Not yet. Check stub creation is coming soon. You can browse the three template styles, view a completed sample and download sample PDFs today.
Can I Preview a Check Stub Before Downloading?
Yes. Open any sample template to see the full statement, then download the PDF. The planned creation workflow will also let you review your completed check stub before downloading it.
